Hannah Raspopovich Sets Program Record On First Day of NCAA Championships

ATLANTA, Georgia – Senior Hannah Raspopovich (Crown Point, Ind.) set a school record in the 50 freestyle in the initial 50 yard leg of the 200 freestyle relay with a blazing time of 22.66 at the 2016 NCAA Championships in Atlanta, Ga., Thursday morning.

The Zips relay team of Raspopovich, freshman Madison Myers (Copley, Ohio), senior Ashley Niznik (McDonald, Pa.) and freshman Sadie Fazekas (Windsor, Ontario) raced into the Akron records in the 200 freestyle relay. In the first NCAA Championship event for the Akron swimming and diving program, the Akron squad swam a swift 1:30.
