AKRON, Ohio – The Akron men's basketball team stayed perfect at home (11-0), using a barrage of three pointers to down the Central Michigan Chippewas, 92-87, on Friday night at the James A. Rhodes Arena.

With the win, the Zips improve to 19-4 (8-2 MAC) while the Chippewas drop to 13-10 (6-4 MAC). The Zips have extended their winning streak to six games and have won 19 games in 11 consecutive seasons.

Freshman guard Josh Williams (Akron, Ohio) led the Zips with a career-high 22 points, with 18 of those coming from behind the three-point line.
