Scott Drew picked up his 300th win as a head coach, and Baylor (3-0) easily handled Alcorn State 78-61. Baylor will face Wisconsin on Monday night in Kansas City.
The Bears built a large lead and held it all night. Manu Lecomte nailed 3-point shots early (though he finished 3-of-11), a familiar pattern for the Bear’s point guard. He eclipsed the 1,000 career point mark tonight.
Tristan Clark was active all evening. He went 6-of-7 from the field and was a valuable late shot clock option. His big-to-big passing will be a welcome offensive weapon as the schedule gets much better.
