It took 50 minutes and each team feeling like they’d blown the game multiple times, Baylor (16-10, 6-7) beat Texas (15-11, 5-8) for the sixth straight time. After starting 2-7 in the league, Baylor has now won four straight games. Baylor takes on Texas Tech at 7:00 on Saturday in Waco.
Baylor seemed to have the game won in regulation. They led 51-43 with four minutes remaining. But a bad Terry Maston technical foul—and he was wonderful otherwise tonight—gave Texas life. The Longhorns missed both technical foul shots, but they gained possession and scored. Texas will wonder about that stretch.
