After losing sophomore quarterback Zach Smith (transfer), Baylor desperately needed to add some depth behind freshman Charlie Brewer.
According to 247Sports.com, the Bears now have the nation's 21st-ranked recruiting class and fourth in the Big 12. Baylor's ranking jumped from 26th after Bohanon's announcement.
Bohanon is the country's No. 11 dual-threat quarterback and ranked 229th overall nationally, according to the 247Sports Composite rating system. He is the No. 1 recruit in the state of Arkansas.
This year, Bohanon passed for more than 2,200 yards and 34 touchdowns while adding 1,200 yards on the ground.
