KJ Smith has been designated as doubtful with shin splints. Sounds silly, but I can personally attest nothing takes the power away from your legs like shin splints. Unfortunately, rest is the only remedy.
The secondary is looking to get a few important pieces back. Davion Hall has apparently returned to practice and is aiming to play this week. Harrison Hand should also return on Saturday against UTSA. The freshman had a few impressive flashes against Liberty.
