With all Baylor's injuries, even practice is a struggle for Scott Drew

KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- In his previous 14 seasons at Baylor, Scott Drew has never quite experienced the number of preseason injuries he now faces.

"The toughest thing is it takes 5-on-5 and now we're down to seven scholarship players that are healthy," Drew said. "When you only have seven out there and you have guys going against walk-ons, then it's fool's gold sometimes as far as what you need to work on and improve."

Drew expects 6-9 freshman Tristan Clark (shoulder) to return soon and is hopeful Tyson Jolly and 7-footer Leonard Allen will be available at some point for undisclosed medical issues.
