More Bad News for South Carolina

South Carolina’s offensive line has taken another major hit.

Gamecocks head coach Shane Beamer announced Tuesday that offensive lineman Josiah Thompson has sustained an injury that will not only cause him to miss the spring, but will most likely keep him out for the entire 2026 season as well.

Thompson is the second South Carolina OL to be injured. One of the Gamecocks’ biggest transfers, Jacarrius Peak, is also out for an extended period after recently suffering a knee injury.

A rising junior, Thompson has started at left tackle for South Carolina each of the last two seasons.
