This afternoon, the Colorado Rapids announced that Kortne Ford will be out for 8-10 weeks with a sprained left medial collateral ligament (MCL). The homegrown defender got injured at a team scrimmage last Saturday.
Ford was surely going to be in the starting XI vs. New England this weekend, but the Rapids have plenty of depth in centerback to fill his spot for the next couple of months. Deklan Wynne had been playing quite a bit in preseason and now that he has a green card, he may not actually go out on loan as we initially thought.
