Utah controlled the game from start to finish in an 80-60 victory over the University of Hawai’i basketball team in a non-conference contest at the Huntsman Center in Salt Lake City, Utah.
The Rainbow Warriors, who were playing on the road for the first time this season, dropped to 4-2. The Runnin’ Utes improved to 6-1 with a victory over Hawai’i for the second year in a row (Utah beat Hawai’i in Honolulu last December).
Drew Buggs led the Warriors with 14 points, including 12 in the first half. Mike Thomas added 12 points and six rebounds.
