CHARLESTON, Ill. – struck out five batters in a complete game performance but allowed two runs – one earned – as Indiana State dropped a 2-0 decision at Eastern Illinois Thursday afternoon.
The Sycamores (16-15) were unable to get a hit until beat out a single on a slow-roller to third base in the sixth inning. That marked Indiana State's best chance to score as and would eventually load the bases but Eastern Illinois (25-8) would register a strikeout – one of eight on the day for Indiana State batters – to quash the threat.
Stober (4-6) went the distance and only allowed five hits.
