We have our winner of KSR’s first Meteorologist Madness weather challenge.
While official snowfall measurements are still being finalized, one thing was clear: the forecasts as a whole overshot the final totals. And in a contest where everyone went big, the advantage went to the meteorologist who stayed the most conservative.
That turned out to be T.G. Shuck of ABC 36 WTVQ in Lexington.

Shuck predicted 10.4 inches for Lexington and 11.1 inches for Louisville, the lowest overall forecast among the eligible contestants and the closest to the final snowfall totals once the storm ended.
