JONESBORO, Ark. – Arkansas State scored eight times in the seventh inning to defeat ULM 12-4 on Saturday night.
ULM (15-24, 6-11 SBC) got the upper hand early. Danny Springer’s hit-by-pitch and Nathan Pugh’s double to right field put the Red Wolves in a second-inning jam. Nathan Reynolds then found the hole on the left side for an RBI single. Shortly thereafter, he and Pugh executed a first-and-third double steal to plate the Warhawks’ second run of the night.
Two more ULM runs came across in the fourth. Jacob Stockton singled through the middle and Nathan Pugh followed it up with a line drive home run to straightaway right field.
