SAN MARCOS, Texas – The ULM baseball team suffered 6-1 and 3-2 defeats, the latter in 11 innings, to Texas State on Saturday in the schools' first Sun Belt contests of the season.
Both teams agreed to move the games to the Lone Star State after floods inundated Monroe.
Game One
Texas State inched ahead with runs in the first and second innings. Jonathan Ortega led off with a double down the right field line and scored on Granger Studdard’s single. The Bobcats converted a double-steal in the second to extend their lead to 2-0.
