Good morning, Tiger Fans,
Close but no cigar for the LSU men’s basketball team. And that’s kind of fitting, isn’t it? The Tigers dropped their SEC Tournament opener to Kentucky, 87-82. LSU traded blow for blow with Kentucky in a high-scoring affair before ultimately succumbing to too many turnovers and a much deeper bench. LSU turned the ball over nine times, and Kentucky held a +19 advantage in bench points. That combination played a big role in the Tigers suffering their sixth loss of the season in SEC play by five points or fewer.
