Manchester United

Manchester City went back to the top of the Premier League and inflicted yet another defeat on Manchester United with a 2-0 derby win at Old Trafford on Wednesday.

Second-half goals from Bernardo Silva and Leroy Sane took City a point above title rivals Liverpool with three matches of the campaign remaining. Their second goal also saw them surpass their own record from five years ago for goals scored in a season by an English top-flight side, as it was their 157th in all competitions this term.

For United, their third straight loss without scoring a single goal was their seventh defeat in their last nine games, leaves them three points and two places outside the top four.
