Our head coach, who has taken charge for the rest of the 2025/26 season, said he "shared a few things" with the hierarchy, during a visit to the club's training base on Thursday.
He has also had regular discussions with director of football Jason Wilcox and chief executive officer Omar Berrada, since the appointment.
During a press conference to preview Saturday's derby with Manchester City, Carrick was asked about the nature of any talks that have taken place.
“I’ve spoke to Jason an awful lot and been working closely with him, and Omar as well," Carrick said.
