New Mexico State opened the spring portion of its schedule in convincing fashion on Saturday morning, sweeping UT Permian Basin, 7-0, in an exhibition match at the NM State Tennis Center.
The match marked the Aggies' first action of the spring season as NM State used the exhibition to gain valuable match experience ahead of its official season opener later this month.
NM State set the tone early by claiming all three doubles matches. Anna Pinaieva and Whitney Moon earned a 6-3 win on court one, while the duo of Mo Parkinson-Lubold and Dora Kurdi followed with a 6-4 victory on court two.
