Modal Trigger

Noah Syndergaard allowed one run on seven hits in five innings Friday in the Mets' 4-2 win over the Nationals.

Noah Syndergaard reintroduced himself to the Citi Field faithful Friday night with a flurry of filth mixed in with rust.

The performance was certainly acceptable to the Mets, who are just thrilled to have a rotation horse back after seven weeks removed from the scene as he rehabbed a strained ligament in his index finger.

Syndergaard’s five and fly, combined with a solid bullpen performance, carried the Mets to a 4-2 victory over the Nationals.
