NC State continued its impressive conference run on Saturday, improving to 16-6 overall and 7-2 in ACC play with a convincing 96-78 road win over Wake Forest in Winston-Salem.
The victory currently qualifies as a Quad 1 win, further strengthening the Wolfpack’s résumé as February approaches.
Shooting Clinic from Deep
For the fifth time this season, NC State knocked down 16 three-pointers, overwhelming the Demon Deacons with perimeter shooting.
Sophomore guard Paul McNeil Jr. led the way, drilling 6 of 8 shots from beyond the arc and finishing with a game-high 28 points. It marked the fourth time this season McNeil has made six or more three-pointers in a game.
