For the second straight week, an ugly and unproductive second half doomed the Philadelphia Eagles (4-2) in a 34-17 loss to the New York Giants (2-4) at MetLife Stadium on Thursday night. The Eagles mustered just 115 yards and five first downs in the second half and have dropped back-to-back games for the first time in the regular season since losing the final two games in 2023.
Trailing 20-17 entering the third quarter, the Eagles’ offense could not find the rhythm they had in the first half – punting on their first three possessions before Jalen Hurts threw his first interception of the season, which ended a promising-looking drive on the Giants’ 15-yard line.
