NEW YORK (Monday, Dec. 12, 2016) –– Major League Soccer today announced the list of players available for selection in the 2016 Expansion Draft. The Expansion Draft will provide an opportunity for expansion clubs Atlanta United and Minnesota United FC to select up to five players each from the list of 259 available players. Atlanta United will have the first selection in the Expansion Draft.
The 2016 Expansion Draft will be streamed live on MLSsoccer.com, tomorrow, December 13, beginning at 12 p.m. MT.
Each current MLS club had the opportunity to protect 11 players from their 2016 roster.
