SMU will host its annual spring game on Saturday at Gerald J. Ford Stadium at 1 p.m.
Here are five things to watch.
1. Main attraction -- SMU has one of the best players in the country on its roster in junior wide receiver Courtland Sutton. After a sensational sophomore campaign, Sutton decided to return to campus rather than make the leap to the NFL. Sutton finished last season with 76 receptions for 1,246 yards and 10 touchdowns despite inconsistent play at the quarterback position. He became the first SMU receiver to earn first-team all-conference honors since Cole Beasley of the Dallas Cowboys in 2011.
