Former SMU golfer Bryson DeChambeau qualified for the U.S. Open, re-earning the U.S. Amateur champion spot he forfeited by turning professional.

DeChambeau fired a 7-under 63 at Wedgewood Golf and Country Club on Monday afternoon after posting 2-under 70 earlier at nearby Kinsale. Needing to go low in the late round, he carded eight birdies and one bogey.
