SMU has added another piece to its recruiting class.
On Friday afternoon, the Mustangs reeled in a commitment from Highland Park defensive end Turner Coxe.
Coxe committed to SMU over offers from Air Force and Army.
At 6-foot-1, 248 pounds, Coxe is ranked as the No. 99 weak-side defensive end in the country and No. 306 overall prospect in the state, according to 247Sports Composite.
SMU now has 16 verbal commits in its 2017 recruiting class.
