SMU started American Athletic Conference play with its worst performance, then followed with its best.
The bottom line was the same.
After getting blown out by Temple, the Mustangs took Tulsa to the edge, losing in overtime.
So, SMU (2-4 0-2) has a bye week to prepare for the second half of the season.
