On Sunday afternoon, the Mustangs reeled in a verbal commitment from junior college defensive end Tyson Neals.
Neals gave a verbal pledge to the Mustangs while on his official visit this weekend. He held no other offers.
At 6-foot-3, 235 pounds, Neals is unranked at this time.
SMU now has 17 commits in its 2017 class.
