Having coached 13 teams in a career spanning 44 years, SMU's Larry Brown had pretty much seen it all on the basketball court.
Or he thought he had. The only coach to lead teams to NBA and NCAA titles has never experienced what his current group is doing.
Down to seven scholarship players, No. 10 SMU (16-0, 5-0 American Athletic Conference) enters Sunday's game at Tulane (8-10, 1-4) as the only undefeated Division I team. They are in the top 10 of the AP rankings for the first time in 30 years.
"I'm amazed every day that I go to practice," Brown said.
