Quick hits: A first for SMU sophomore RB; more picks for Mustangs' secondary

UNIVERSITY PARK -- SMU sophomore Braeden West had the first 100-yard game of his career. After getting 89 yards on 15 carries versus Baylor, West crossed the 100-yard mark on his 12th carry against Liberty.

That 66-yard TD run was the longest of his career and the longest for SMU since quarterback Garrett Gilbert's 74-yarder against Tulsa in 2012. West also had runs of 48, 23 and 26 yards (for a TD).

SMU's Jordan Wyatt had a busy first half. The sophomore cornerback made his second interception of the season on Liberty's second possession. When Liberty went for it on fourth-and-2 from SMU's 40 in the second quarter, Wyatt broke up the pass.
