SMU reels in commitment from nation's top power forward

SMU's off-the-court issues are not hurting recruiting.

According to a report from CBS Sports' Jon Rothstein, the Mustangs received a commitment from four-star DME Academy (Fla.) power forward Ted Kapita on Friday night.

Kapita committed to SMU over offers from Georgetown, Kansas, Oregon, Texas Tech and others.

At 6-foot-8, 240 pounds, Kapita is ranked as the No.
