SMU coach Chad Morris is looking at a bigger payday while deciding whether to take the Baylor job.
A source told SportsDay's Bill Nichols that Morris was offered a five-year $24.5 million deal ($4.9 million per season) by the Bears, but he counter-offered.

Negotiations with Morris reportedly continue.
He was considered one of the leading candidates to replace Jim Grobe, who announced on Monday that he's done coaching after this season.
