Three-star Lancaster defensive end Noah Jones commits to SMU

SMU added a big addition to its 2017 recruiting class on Thursday as Lancaster's Noah Jones announced his commitment on Twitter.

Jones, a 6-4, 235-pound defensive end, is a three-star recruit according to 247 Sports' composite ratings. He picked picked SMU over offers from Illinois, Indiana, Purdue, Kansas, North Texas and others.

Expected to lead a strong Lancaster defense in 2016, Jones is ranked among SportsDay's Top 100 area recruits and is rated as the 98th-best player in the state of Texas according to 247's composite rankings.
