ESL confirms CS2 Pro Tour matches will use latest patch

Esports tournament organiser ESL has announced that all future matches of the ESL Pro Tour will use the latest Counter-Strike 2 patch released on January 21st, 2026.

Starting with the remaining matches of the IEM Rio 2026 Global Qualifier, all future online and LAN tournaments forming part of the CS2 circuit will feature an updated version of Anubis.

Announced on January 22nd, the change will see teams competing on the new Anubis layout in addition to adjusted jumping mechanics and more powerful versions of the MP7 and the MP5-SD submachine guns.
