Irish esports organisation WYLDE has announced its exit from Rainbow Six esports after five years.
The organisation, co-owned by Olympic gold medalist Usain Bolt, cited the sustainability of operating a team in Ubisoft’s first-person shooter title as a factor behind the decision.
Announced on January 29th, WYLDE has competed in Rainbow Six Siege since 2021. Over the last five years, the organisation has been a notable name in Europe, competing across several regional tournaments.
The organisation’s solitary appearance at an international event came at Gamers8 in 2022.
