OMAHA, Neb – No. 4 Texas Volleyball opened the NCAA Tournament with a resounding 3-0 sweep of Wright State in the second round on Thursday at the CHI Health Center.
With the win, the Longhorns (24-1) advance to the regional semifinal to face the winner of Thursday night's match between No. 13 Penn State and North Carolina A&T.
Brionne Butler had a dominant performance, finishing with eight kills and six blocks, while hitting a career best .889 in the match. Logan Eggleston led Texas with 11 kills and added three blocks, four digs and one service ace.
