Apparently being the first Big 12 quarterback to win a playoff game pays well.
One week after leading the Kansas City Chiefs to a 31-13 win over the Indianapolis Colts in the AFC divisional round, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that former Texas Tech quarterback Patrick Mahomes could earn the NFL's first $200 million contract.
The current record deal in the NFL is held by Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers, who nets an annual salary of $33.5 million.
In his second season in the NFL and his first as a full-time starter, Mahomes has quickly thrust himself in the MVP conversation.
