AMHERST, Mass. — The Toledo men’s basketball team came out on the wrong end of a tightly contested Mid-American Conference game on Tuesday as the Rockets fell to Massachusetts 84-82.
In a game in which neither team led by more than seven points, the Minutemen were able to take a late lead and hold off several UT attempts at a rally.
K’Jei Parker’s 3-pointer with 1:21 left gave the Minutemen a 79-75 lead. Toledo cut the deficit to two on multiple occasions, including in the final seconds when Kyler Vanderjagt sank a free throw to make it 84-82.
