Police in Manchester said they have charged a Hartford man with a stabbing during an altercation at 140 Hilliard St. Saturday morning.

Kelvin McCullough, 33, of Hartford is charged with assault, carrying a dangerous weapon, threatening and disorderly conduct. He is held on a $150,000 bond.

Police said that, shortly after 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, officers answered a report of a disturbance at 140 Hilliard St. and found McCullough holding a “large knife,” which was pointed at another man. McCullough was detained after complying with an order to drop the knife.

The second man directed the officers to the building entrance, where police said they found an unidentified Bridgeport man, who was suffering from multiple stab wounds and a large laceration to the abdomen.
