Sophomore Kurt Palandech will start at quarterback for UNLV when the Rebels' football team plays San Jose State at 6 p.m. Saturday at Sam Boyd Stadium.

Senior Blake Decker, the usual starter, separated his nonthrowing shoulder in Saturday's 23-17 victory at UNR and is available as the emergency quarterback.

"If he was healthy, it would be a different story, but he's probably going to be about 80 percent," coach Tony Sanchez said.
