Rebels continue to overcome weak season start with 87-77 win over Broncos

Although this season started out rough, the Runnin’ Rebels beat one of the best teams in the Mountain West region in style when they won the Boise State game last Wednesday, besting the Broncos 87-77.

In the Mountain West Conference, the Broncos currently sit in second place, while UNLV stands just south of the University of Nevada, Reno at seventh. The Runnin’ Rebels fell to the Wolfpack 65-63 last Saturday.

Stakes were incredibly high Wednesday night, not just for our Runnin’ Rebels, but also for the Boise State Broncos. The Broncos were hoping to earn a spot in the NCAA Tournament this year, which would have been their third appearance within a four year time span, and they hoped to live up to expectations and build a substantial legacy.
