The Runnin’ Rebels began the season strong with a win against the Cal Poly Mustangs, 74-72, on Fri., Nov. 13. Before playing the national anthem, the Thomas & Mack held a moment of silence for the fallen people of Paris.
Freshman Stephen Zimmerman Jr. scored the first two points of the game. This was the freshman’s first college game, and he earned 12 points and nine rebounds for his team in total.
“We have a lot to learn, and it is still a win at the end of the day,” said Zimmerman Jr.
