The UTEP women's basketball team gets ready to play Rice Friday evening Bret Bloomquist/El Paso Times
The UTEP women's basketball team has found many different paths to pulling out games late, and the one they took in a 50-48 bounce-back victory against North Texas Sunday was a new one entirely.
What was familiar about a game where the Miners made just one field goal in the fourth quarter, but still protected a three-point lead, was their toughness.
"I'm always proud of this team, even when they lose, but I'm most proud when their character reveals itself time and time again," coach Kevin Baker said after his team improved to 13-7 overall, 4-3 in Conference USA.
