UTEP coach, fan ejected as Miners outlast Incarnate Word

It was far from a thing of beauty. But it was interesting, feisty and a bit fun.

UTEP, battling the rust of 10 days and missing a pair of key components, shrugged all that off and outlasted a good, well-coached Incarnate Word team 72-66 in front of a small but enthusiastic crowd of 6,023 fans Tuesday night in the Don Haskins Center.

The game featured eight ties, five lead changes, the double technical foul ejection of interim head coach Phil Johnson and even the ejection of a fan.
