The Capitals have officially hit the road, kicking off their six-game road trip with a stop in Denver to play the league-leading Colorado Avalanche. The Caps are riding a two-game losing skid and have lost four of their last six…but amazingly, so have the Avs, including three of their five (!!) regulation wins on the season and their first home loss in regulation back on Friday. None of that matters today, however, as the Avalanche remain an incredibly good team despite recent stumbles and the Caps will need to bring their “A” game to get this trip off on a good note.
