The Washington Commanders didn't come close to reaching the playoffs after a disastrous campaign. However, some former players and coaches are currently thriving in the unrivaled pressure of the knockout rounds.
One player, in particular, is making a significant difference. And it brought into question a decision made by general manager Adam Peters during his first offseason at the helm.
Peters did not think much of Ron Rivera's roster construction. This was especially evident with his draft picks. Most high-end selections were removed from the equation. Others taken further down the pecking order were also free to leave.
