OVERLAND PARK, Kan. - Xavier volleyball player Abbey Bessler was named one of 30 candidates for the Senior CLASS Award. The award recognizes student-athletes who excel both on and off the volleyball court.
To be eligible for the award, a student-athlete must be classified as an NCAA Division I senior and have notable achievements in four areas of excellence: community, classroom, character and competition. Bessler was one of four BIG EAST volleyball players named to the list.
The Hebron, Ky., native leads the team in kills (274) and points (304), while ranking second in digs (182).
