CINCINNATI, Ohio – Xavier baseball fell 3-1 in game two of its weekend series against Morehead State on Saturday at Hayden Field, falling to 11-20 overall on the season.
Morehead State improved to 18-13 overall behind some dominant pitching. Starter Aaron Leasher struck out 11 in seven innings, allowing just three hits and one unearned run. The Eagles' closer, Tyler Keele, came in and struck out all six batters he faced to slam the door on an XU eighth inning rally.
• XU mustered just three hits, tying for its second-fewest in a game this season.
