INDIANAPOLIS -- Five Xavier University teams earned public recognition from the NCAA for posting Academic Progress Rates (APR) in the top-10 percent of their sport for the multiyear rate, ending with the 2015-16 academic year. Ten other Xavier teams earned a perfect score of 1,000 for the single-year measure from the 2015-16 academic year.
"This honor is a credit to our student-athletes, coaches and academic staff," said Greg Christopher, Xavier University Director of Athletics. "Xavier has always placed an emphasis on academic excellence and the latest APR is further evidence of our programs' commitment to being leaders both on the field of play and in the classroom.
