CINCINNATI – Women's tennis fell with a 1-6 decision Wednesday against Florida Gulf Coast in Fort Meyers, FLA.
Sophia Abelson carried the Musketeers by clinching a victory at No. 5 singles. She defeated Julianna Curtis 6-2,4-6, 6-2. At No. 1 singles, Sydney Liggins fell short with a score of 6-1, 1-6, 6-3.
In doubles play, the Musketeers came to a close victory in the No.3 spot. Sophomore Zoe Manion and freshman Rachael Reichenbach came close to a victory but fell short with a 6-7 decision.
The Musketeers fall to 4-7 on the spring season while FCGU improves to 5-3.
