As a No. 2 seed for the first time in school history, Xavier’s men’s basketball team has gone from the hunter to the hunted in the NCAA tournament.
The Musketeers were a No. 6 seed last season, a 12 seed in 2014, absent from the tourney in 2013 and a 10 seed in 2012. The last time they came close to the upper echelons of the bracket was in 2008, when they tied a former program-high at No. 3.
Although the No. 2 seed may be uncharted territory for Xavier, this team is quite familiar with being targeted.
